Topeka Music Census: Final Countdown Party
The Topeka Music Census is a community-led effort to better understand the people, places, and challenges shaping the local music ecosystem, including musicians, venues, educators, promoters, engineers, DJs, photographers, nonprofits, retailers, media, and creative entrepreneurs. The goal is to identify existing resources, create a dynamic network of creatives and build a meaningful coalition that can help to ensure that Topeka has a thriving music scene for years to come.
The survey will be open from July 20 - Aug 9. This event is an opportunity to get together, connect and help with the final push for responses. We'll have drinks and snacks and PRIZES. Bring a friend....make a new connection....be a part of building a coalition to support the live music in Topeka for years to come.
CALL FOR ART: WE ARE THE KEEPERS 3RD ANNUAL EXHIBITION
This multidisciplinary group exhibit, curated by Taiomah Rutledge (Ojibwe/Meskwaki/Dakota), will exclusively feature the work of Native American Artists and will be shown at the ArtsConnect gallery, located at 909 N Kansas Ave in the NOTO Arts & Entertainment District.
The exhibit will run from August through September 2026, with an opening scheduled for Friday, September 7th, to coincide with Topeka's monthly First Friday Artwalk. In accordance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act, exhibiting artists must be members of a federally recognized tribe or have a CDIB available.
