ArtsConnect was thrilled to showcase works of art by Washburn University senior art students as well as selected works by their mentors, Marguerite Perret & MIchael Hager. In this exhibition, students consider the theme of metamorphosis, transformation and change from many different perspectives.

This group show featured works by a variety of artists, muralists, sculptors and students. Additionally, the gallery featured poster artwork created for Amplifier, a non-profit design lab focused on promoting social change through the arts and advocated for increased awarness about the importance of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Despite having opened the gallery nearly 14 months prior, this exhibit of works by muralist and painter, Robert Tapley Bustamante, was the first time the gallery had been open to the public since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Works by various artists represented by SouthWind Gallery were also shown.
